DISCLAIMER
The focus of asecondopinion.in is to provide expert medical advice and counselling to patients through video consultations. However, video consultations are effective only to a certain extent and can never substitute in-person consultations with a physical examination of the patient. Video consultations with physicians at asecondopinion.in do not cover emergency medical services for which the patient is advised to go to a hospital.
PRIVACY POLICY
Patient information provided in confidence through website will be respected and protected. It will not be disclosed for purposes other than the purpose intended, without authorisation by the person providing the information, unless there is a legal or regulatory obligation to do so.
How long we keep your data
We store your personal information in accordance with applicable laws, which means we keep your data for as long as necessary to provide you with our Services or as may be required under any law. We shall store your personal information for lawful purposes only. If you close your account, we have no obligation to retain your data, and we may delete any or all of your data without liability. PRICING POLICY
TSO has a clear and well defined payment policy for all the patients seeking medical opinion from its consultants
- A clearly defined fee based on the visit type chosen is collected at the time of booking appointment
- Patients/guardians must be prepared that the fee may not be covered by insurance and will be out of pocket expenses
- All payments are collected online into the TSO account after the payment process is completed by the patient/guardian
- No cash payments are accepted by TSO and patients are warned not to give cash to any agent for an appointment with consultants of TSO
- Payments are routed through the Razorpay channel Table of service and payment (subject to revision from to time)

This document is published in accordance with the provisions of Rule 3 (1) of the IT (Intermediaries guidelines) rules, 2011 that require publishing the rules and regulations, privacy policy and terms of use for access or usage of www.asecondopinion.in telemedicine service. The user shall continue to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in the event of such assignment, transfer or subcontracting.
TSO enables teleconsultation to all individuals accessing or using its website www.asecondopinion.in subject to the notices, terms and conditions set in these Terms and Conditions. Please go through the Terms and Conditions carefully under which you are allowed to use this website and the manner in which we shall treat your account while you are registered with us. By accessing this website to use the services you irrevocably accept all terms and Conditions stipulated in this Agreement and agree to fully abide by them.
We reserve the right to modify or terminate any portion of the website or the services offered by the company for any reason, without notice and without liability to you or any third party. The website should not be used in cases of medical emergencies and TSO does not, and should not be considered in any form to be a substitute for a hospital.
2. CONDITIONS OF USE
Once this website is accessed and used for appointment by you, TSO assumes that the following eligibility criteria have been met
That the user is at least 18 years old and/or is accessing this platform under the supervision of a parent or guardian who will then be deemed to be the end user of the services as defined in these Terms and Conditions If age is below 18 years, parents or legal guardians can transact on behalf of their wards, provided photo-identity is produced at the time of consultation. The parent or guardian will then be deemed to be the end user of the services as defined in these Terms and Conditions
3. OUR SERVICES
Selection of doctor
The TSO website allows you to select and schedule appointments with the listed doctors registered with the website as displayed in the home page. While choosing the particular doctor on the website you understand and accept that
- You are ultimately responsible for choosing the doctor and TSO will not be responsible or liable for selection of such doctor
- TSO provides detail professional background of each doctor in the website for you to understand before choosing a doctor
- TSO does not make any representation of warranties with respect to these doctors so selected and TSO shall not be liable for any reason whatsoever for the services provided by the doctor, and will bear no liability for the consequences to you, of your use of the system or services
Online payment on website
- The Website and App provide you the ability to pay online through a third party payment gateway for some of the Services available on the Website or App.
- The website has provision only for online payment only. No physical payment/money will be collected from the patient through any agent/agency
- If you choose to pay online, you may be directed to a third party payment gateway to enable processing of the payment. This transaction will be governed by the terms and conditions and privacy policy of the third party payment gateway.
- TSO shall not be liable (a) if any transaction does not fructify or may not be completed or (b) for any failure on part of the bank or the credit card or the third party site or agency to perform any of its obligations or (c) in respect of any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly arising out of the decline or acceptance of authorization for any transaction, for any reason whatsoever.
- TSO is unable to deal with any insurance provider/agent on patient personal reimbursement process at present. Patients are to manage it on their own. Supporting medical documents and invoices to this personal insurance claim can be obtained from TSO.
Availability of doctor
- Tele-consultations shall be available for specialties as displayed in the home page of the website for which appointment will be made by clicking on individual doctor’s box or in home page of each doctor
- Tele-consultation from a specific doctor shall be available subject to his/her availability/willingness/discretion.
- Confirmation of your appointment with a selected doctor shall be sent to you via SMS and E-mail.
- TSO reserves the right to reschedule or cancel an appointment without any prior notice.
- The time provided for consultation to you is indicative and actual consultation time may change depending on the consulting doctor’s discretion.
Holding telemedicine consultations
You can have an Online Telemedicine Consultation via video call or on the TSO Platform with the doctor selected by you:
- Please ensure that you are equipped with proper video conference equipment and internet connectivity as required for the service you want to avail. In case of inadequate video conference equipment, technical error or defective internet connectivity, we reserve the right to reschedule or cancel your appointment without any notice.
- You understand and acknowledge that there will not be any physical examination involved and the Online Medical Consultation services shall be provided remotely in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The opinion delivered by the doctor selected by you shall solely be based on the verbal communication between the concerned doctor and the patient, and any test reports and other information provided/uploaded by you on the Platform.
- Your medical records may be viewed by the doctor on the chat facility provided on the Platform in the course of medical consultations and will remain accessible to you for a specific number of days after a particular consultation concludes, as determined by the doctor.
- The Services are not meant in any way for emergency and life-threatening conditions. It is advised to take the patient to the nearest hospital in such cases.
Use of platform by user
As an end user of TSO services you agree to the following conditions of use
- You are solely responsible for the medical, health and personal information you provide on the TSO Platform
- The advice or the services provided by the doctor will depend upon the information you provide on the TSO Platform. You will provide accurate and complete information everywhere on the TSO Platform, based on which you will receive the Services.
- You will be solely responsible for all access to and use of this site by anyone using the password and identification originally assigned to you whether or not such access to and use of this site is actually authorized by you, including without limitation, all communications and transmissions and all obligations (including, without limitation, financial obligations) incurred through such access or use. You are solely responsible for protecting the security and confidentiality of the password and identification assigned to you.
- The information provided by you can be retained by us and can be used without revealing your identity, as per our Privacy Policy.
- You shall not upload to, distribute, or otherwise publish through the TSO Platform, the following, which includes any AboutContent, information, or other material that:
- Belongs to another person and which you do not own the rights to;
- Infringes any patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary rights;
- Violates any law in India for the time being in force;
- Deceives or misleads the addressee about the origin of your message and intentionally communicates any information which is patently false or misleading in nature but may reasonably be perceived as a fact;
- Is abusive or inappropriate to the doctor conducting your medical consultation
- Is not relating to the medical consultation or relating to any of the services you avail from us.
- We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate accounts at our discretion, if we believe that you have violated or are likely to violate applicable law or these Terms and Conditions.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
The cancellation and refund policy is only applicable to all online payments made through website for booking appointments.
Cancellations
In case cancellation is initiated by end user:
- 24 hours before Scheduled Appointment Time : Only consultation Fees will be refunded. Please note that convenience fee will not be refunded.
- After Scheduled Appointment Time : neither Consultation Fees nor Convenience Fees will be refunded.
*In case Cancellation is initiated due to unavailability of selected Doctor:
100% of Consultation Fees and Convenience fees will be refunded to end user.*
Refunds
- At the time of cancellation, amount will be refunded through netbanking only.
- Refund will be processed within 15 working days upon request.
